  • This year is the 80th Anniversary of The Royal Canadian Legion and will hopefully be well supported by our Branches, Ladies Auxiliaries and our communities

  • What makes this so special is that it will be the 30th anniversary of this prestigious Legion sponsored event that this year will be co-hosted by Simon Fraser University and the City of Burnaby

  • This event will not only feature the best young 12 to 17 year old track and field athletes in Canada, for the first time ever a large component of the overall championships will feature a “Commemorative“ aspect that will Include Candlelight Ceremonies, a visit to the George Derby Centre by the athletes and various other veteran and Legion related activities

  • The Legion works to preserve the Canadian traditions and values of good citizenship, community service, tolerance, physical fitness and education, especially among the youth
