  • Both the title track and the thematic "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" were tributes to him and piqued the interest of the millions of fans Pink Floyd had picked up post- DSOTM

  • A box set named after "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" appeared containing Barrett's two solo albums and, although few nouveau-Floyd fans were sold, his status as a cult figure started to grow exponentially from that point on
